How Are You Peeling?
By Saxton Freymann
Ages 4-8.
This is one of my all-time favorite children's books! This one is great for young children. Through the use of vegetables with emotional faces the authors walk young ones through the full range of emotions. It's a great book to talk to your child about emotions, help your children figure out what emotions they are feeling, what happens when you feel certain emotions, and how to deal with them. I love all of their books!

Dear Katie, The Volcano is a Girl
By Jean Craighead George
Ages 9-12.
I know this book is out of print, but I found copies of it at the local Bargain Books. (They have a lot of very Pagan-friendly kid's books there.) This book is very awesome because it shows that science and religion can work together while it simultaneously talks about the workings of a volcano and the myth of the goddess Pele. I thought the book was well illustrated and it's one of the books that have permanently made a home in my thoughts, so I'd say it's a book well worth tracking down.
