Hark, comes now the longest night of the year
A time to rejoice, or a time to fear?
Winter settles its blanket of death upon the land
Weep not tho, for the Sun King's birth is now at hand
I am as all things living upon this earth
A part of me seemed dead, yet has now found rebirth
Warmth and life seem distant,away, ever so far
Yet I glance to the night sky, to the Solstice Star
It guides me thru the night, until the sun brings forth the new days start
It brightens the heavens, yet also brightens my heart
A single spot of light, shining ever so clear
Both the star in the sky, and the one I hold dear
Light in my heart, and in the darkness above
A promise of life, a promise of love
Taking away the coldness of night
By gazing above me, or you holding me tight
Springtime is coming, a time not so far
And guiding my journey to rebirth, my love, my
Solstice Star
