Building Community: Convocation 2005

Convocation is a large Pagan event in Eastern Michigan. There are lots of Pagans, workshops, vendors, rituals and drumming circles, friends, authors and more. I had a great time talking with several well-known authors and a whole bunch of Pagan parents I'm hoping will help build this site with articles and more content.

Below are some a couple of my pictures from Convocation 2005.

A. J. Drew

Nicodemus and A.J. Drew at Convocation. Both were vendors there.

I had a whole bunch of fun talking with A.J. Drew. He taught a couple of awesome workshops that really brought the pieces together in my mind about where Wicca is headed. He was also a merchant because he makes really cool ritual pottery items and sells swords and of course his books! Be sure to check his website out at PaganNation.com.

A.J. Drew also organizes the annual International Real Witches Ball 2005 in Columbus, OH just before Samhain, so please check it out. I plan to go and I hope to meet you there!

Kerr Cuhulain and Phoenix McFarland

Kerr Cuhulain and Phoenix McFarland both taught a couple of great workshops at Convocation. It was a pleasure to meet both of them and I'm really glad they could make it to the event.

Having been a police officer for over 20 years, Kerr Cuhulain travels throughout North America as a popular speaker at writers' conferences and Pagan festivals, and he has been the subject of many books, articles, and media interviews. His works include "The Law Enforcement Guide to Wicca", "Wiccan Warrior", and "Full Contact Magic".

Phoenix McFarland, a Canadian interior decorator, describes herself as "an irreverent Wiccan Priestess." She has had numerous stories, articles and poems published in Pagan publications. She is the author of "The New Book of Magical Names" and "The Complete Book of Magical Names".
